Note: To ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs.
Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Slipper leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. The eye of this spring will attach to the front hanger with a suspension bolt. The flat slipper end of the spring will slide into the rear hanger. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the slipper end will slide into the equalizer that connects multiple springs. The shape of the slipper end of a leaf spring may vary slightly due to differences among trailer manufacturers. Because of this, it's important to check your leaf spring's slipper end before purchasing a replacement spring.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, a suspension bolt, and possibly a spring keeper bolt, depending on the design of the rear hanger. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer, but it would be wise to replace the bolts as they can experience wear. It is also recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

It was easy to install and installation instructions video was great for a first timer like me to do the job. Great customer service support helped me out when the first suspension was too big for my trailer. I return it and got the right size. I am very satisfied with the product and the price on the suspension.
I have purchased a number of items from etrailer.com such ans leaf springs, axle and hub assembly, and other items as well, I recently finished the trailer and it is now on a cross country trip. The trailer has just finished a 3,000 mile leg of this trip and I am told it was so smooth that it could not be felt by the towing vehicle.
Every product I have ordered from etrailer.com has been top quality and has worked extremely well. I would come back again for any of my future trailer needs.
2,000 lb. GVW utility trailer came stock with set of two-leaf springs. No wonder it sagged when loaded to 1,500 to 2,000 lbs.
So I ordered a set of four-leaf springs. The description of the springs was very thorough so I was very sure they were what would work and install easily. When the new springs arrived it only took ten or fifteen minutes per side to easily make the switch to the new four-leaf springs. By cleaning all surfaces and going to all steel shorter lock nuts I was even able to re-use the old U-bolts and other hardware. Haven't used it yet (still repairing lights) but I'm sure there'll be a noticeable difference for the better! Thanks e-trailer!
Everything is what it is supposed to be and the delivery time was great.
I love this product for many reasons. Not only does it take the weight it’s meant for, but it also keeps my trailer steady while and not bouncing around. I have put about 2200 miles in them in about a year (personal trailer and moved from state), and they still feel brand new. Great product and VERY easy to install.
Had a bit of struggle on install, but it was my first time. Have since drug the trailer many miles on and off road and springs held up under full load.
Perfect size, looks to be well made, etrailer leaf springs always work well.
These springs were a great replacement for my trailer. The original 1000-lb springs carried the load, but they were stiff with lighter loads. These new springs feature additional leafs that allow the trailer to ride more smoothly with lighter loads, yet remain stable with heavier loads. They were economical and very easy to install, too. One photo shows the difference between my original 1000-lb spring and this product.
Easy transaction. Quick delivery. Parts in good condition and fit/work well. Installed in less than 1 hour.
All went good on the install with the exception of the center axel bolt was 1" off from what I had on the boat trailer. I did this repair while at home in Alaska. I use the boat in Cook Inlet fishing for Halibut and Salmon.

All went good and boat trailer is working great in Alaska...Thanks
Plus:
Good products for a super low price. Accomplished the goal of bringing life back to a dead trailer. The leaf springs ride much better than the stock rubber torsion axle. The new hubs and bearings roll much easier than the worn out ones they replaced.
Minus:
A little disappointed in the spring bushing. It seemed like cheap plastic and was quite a bit larger than the bolt so it fit loosely. This was the only real negative I have about the purchased, and that's pretty minor.
Tips for etrailer:
Providing a height of the spring would make spring selection easier. In our case we were starting with scratch for mounting springs, no preexisting mounting hardware. Knowing the height of the spring from mount to axle would have been helpful in selecting a spring for the proper ride height. In a snowmobile trailer application an inch or two in height makes a bit difference in approach angle when loading a sled. This was about the only measurement not listed for springs so we guessed, and it came out well for us in the end.
The slipper spring and hanger kit were just what I needed to replace the originals which were too soft and bottomed out under minimal load. Welded on the hanger brackets and the springs installed just as they should. Now the trailer rides nice and high and carries the load with ease; trails nicely too.
I found the springs to be acceptable. I put them on a 17 Spartan boat trailer. Seems like Spartan had components manufactured to their specs so these springs were not an exact fit. I had to place axle under the springs rather than on top due to spring depth. This was not Etrailer's fault, I forgot to discuss the depth with them. Perhaps they could have inquired further as to use and replacement specs. Delivery was 3 days and Josh was pleasant to talk to. I would check Etrailer out if I needed additional parts.
Sorry no photos. All items arrived in a short time after ordering. All items were correct.Support was there if needed. This is our second order through etrailer. Would highly recommend their business and associates.

Springs are working fine. Once again the associates at etrailer extremely helpful.
I am very impressed with the whole process from the beginning to the end. I was able to find the 4 leaf spring for my trailer and after comparing ALL the dimension to my broke leaf spring, it was an exact match. It was recommended to replace both sides, so I ordered twp leaf springs. I had several choices of shipping and I select the one that best fit my schedule. The leaf springs arrived on the designated date. The replacement install went flawless because the new leaf springs were an exact part swap out. etrailer.com will always be my first place to look for any parts.
I was in need of new flipper springs contacted etrailer and they put onto a great spring it handles my quad wood loads with ease one year later the product is going strong
Great team at etrailer just tell them your problem and they will fix it
Thanks Brian m
Haven't used the trailer much but these were what I needed and work well.
Great price, great spring, picked up 1/2" more clearance over old worn out springs on my boat trailer. very satisfied.
I used etrailer during my restoration of my 1965 Travler Comet runabout boat. The trailer was in poor shape requiring all new suspension and hardware. etrailer had everything I needed. Easy to find and order. Great service and quick shipping.
Everything from start to finish with etrailer and the leaf springs I purchased went perfectly! The search for the product was seamless, ordering simple, delivery quick, and they fit perfectly!
These are super easy to install. They are strong and hold up great on rough terrain. If you have a trailer with just a 2 leaf suspension, I highly recommend replacing them with these 4 leaf set up.
Hi Kelsey, Thanks to etrailer I was able to rebuild most of my boat trailer. It was easy. Your parts are of very good quality and are holding up well. This is very important to me as I am a recreational fisherman here in north florida on the gulf of mexico, where salt water is a real problem. I will be using your company again. Thanks for all of your help. Larry
Customer service with etrailer as usual was 100%. I placed my order in the morning, and within an hour I received shipping info and it arrived only a few days later. Couldn't be happier with etrailer, I have used them several times and the customer service is hard to beat.
The springs seem to be of good quality. I just put them on so I am unable to comment on their longevity. They do sag a little more than the previous springs I had on the trailer but they should work just fine. I sprayed some liquid rubber coating on the springs to try and increase the overall lifespan, hopefully it will slow the rate of corrosion.
Great product was a great replacement for my worn out Springs on my Magic Tilt boat trailer or year later still holding up well would definitely purchase them again

The springs are still working great! They rust fairly fast. But I suspect its only surface rust. Id certain buy another set, if I needed them.
